Personality dominates policy in Australian election

Opinion polls in Australia are pointing to a tight race between the two main parties in Saturday's parliamentary elections. Much of the campaign has been about the candidates' personalities rather than their policies. Julia Gillard - Australia's first female Prime Minister and an unmarried atheist - is up against a conservative Christian opponent who's nicknamed the "Mad Monk".
