Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been awarded the biggest prize at the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America awards. The former child TV stars were selected as the U.S.'s top womenswear designers for their collection, 'The Row.' It was the first time the 25-year-old sisters had been nominated - they faced fierce competition from other nominees who included, among others, Marc Jacobs.

Janet Jackson has signed on as executive producer for a documentary on the lives of transgender people. The film, called "Truth," begins production this summer and will focus on the lives and struggles of transgender persons around the world. It will also include on-camera interviews with Jackson, who said in a statement that she is working on the project to try to stop discrimination of the transgender community.

Queen Elizabeth II has celebrated her Diamond Jubilee over the past few days, one of the highlights of which was a star-studded concert. The Queen met with the performers after the show, including Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Kylie Minogue.

Finally, Kristen Stewart got glammed up for the cover of "Vanity Fair." The actress - who currently stars in "Snow White and The Huntsman" - told the magazine she doesn't care what people in Hollywood think about her - she just wants to live her life her own way.
