Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, is beginning a tour of South American in Venezuela.

Ahmadinejad's visit comes amid rising tensions between Iran, the European Union and the UN over sanctions placed on Tehran as a result of recent reports about its nuclear programme.

Al Jazeera's Adam Raney travelled to Caracas and asked Venezuelans, as well as experts on the region, what they make of the Iranian president's fourth official visit to the nation.
