Zuma mediates in Zimbabwe deadlock

Jacob Zuma, South Africa's president, is visiting neighbouring Zimbabwe, to help mediate talks aimed at ending the political deadlock between Robert Mugabe, the country's president, and Morgan Tsvangirai, the prime minister.

Mugabe and Tsvangira are still at loggerheads over many issues in the power-sharing government agreed on more than a year ago.

Among the major issues the two clash on is a controversial empowerment bill that seeks to give black Zimbabweans a majority stake in all companies.

Al Jazeera's Haru Mutasa reports from Harare, where many Zimbabweans are getting increasingly impatient for political stability.
