Hamid Karzai is widely expected to win the Afghan presidential election, but analysts say he should not expect the same kind of US backing he enjoyed under George Bush.

Karzai was the Bush administration's choice as the country's interim leader.

But since Barack Obama took office
in January, Washington has taken a different approach to the Afghan leader. Nick Spicer reports.
