Argentina's Iguazu Falls - a thundering cascade near the border with Brazil.
On Saturday, the site was named one of the world's new seven wonders, after being selected by an international poll.
The president of the New7Wonders organization unveiled a placard designating the falls a natural wonder.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) BERNARD WEBER, PRESIDENT OF NEW7WONDERS SAYING OVER PICTURES OF THE FALLS:
"With this official recognition and inauguration Iguazu falls are now becoming part of global memory at the beginning of the third millennium. Seven things that everyone in our planet can and will remember."
The poll's results come after a voting process that lasted from December 2007 until July 2009, in which citizens from around the world were asked to recommend sites they deemed natural wonders.
More than a million votes were cast, trimming the list of more than 440 contenders down to a shortlist of 77.
The other six wonders are the Amazon Rainforest, Vietnam's Halong Bay, South Korea's Jeju Island, Indonesia's Komodo, the Philippines' Puerto Princesa Underground River and South Africa's Table Mountain.
