Lady Gaga landed in Thailand on Wednesday (May 23), two days ahead of her "Born This Way Ball Tour" in Bangkok. Dressed in a tight-fitting leather outfit, the singer waved to fans - many of whom burst into tears at the sight of her. Gaga has faced protests from religious groups in various Asian countries, but has so far raised no resistance in Thailand.
Michael McKean is recovering in a New York City hospital after being struck by a car. The actor - most known for his role on TV series "Laverne & Shirley," the the film mockumentary "Spinal Tap," suffered a broken leg, but is otherwise in stable condition. McKean is currently starring on Broadway in Gore Vidal's "The Best Man."
Kanye West is set for a big night at the 2012 BET Awards after scoring seven nominations. Coming in at number two is Beyonce with six nominations, including two for Video of the Year. The awards will be handed out in Los Angeles on July 01.
Finally, for the first time, one "American Idol" has replaced another at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. Adam Lambert's "Trespassing" has debuted at number one with 77,000 copies sold. His arrival bumped last week's leader, Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away," down to number 3. It's Lambert's first number one album and makes him the seventh "American Idol" finalist to reach the top spot.
