A Real Dinosaur Skeleton Up for $1 Million Auction - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Going to the highest bidder, an almost complete skeleton of the giant is up for auction at the Heritage Auction house with a minimum price for over 1 million dollars.
Meaning tyrant lizard, the Tyrannosaurus bataar is a distant family member of the T-Rex. Historians have placed the creature as ruling the Gobi Desert area of Asia.

The Tyrannosaurus, known for their frighteningly large size, quick speed, and ravenous appetite, are hands down among the most popular dinosaurs portrayed in movies, books and tv. Tyrannosaurs are part of the theropod family, which also includes other meat-eaters like Megalosaurs, Carnosaurs and Allosaurs.

Approximately 8 years ago a British collector acquired the remnants and has been able to reassemble roughly 75% of the body and 80% of the skull into an 8-foot tall, 24-foot long forwards running stance.

The infamous, “Sue”, is the largest and finest Tyrannosaurus example known and was auctioned off in 1997 for 8.36 million dollars.
Most predict the winning bid will go to a museum, but the auction is open to private collectors as well.
