After graduating from Body Therapy Institute in North Carolina, Ivy Jo Staton opened a private practice in Durham, NC. Throughout the years of searching for techniques that would save her own body while still providing the deep tissue work her clients required, she learned about Bamboo-fusion. Her training with Nathalie Cecilia, the founder of Bamboo-fusion, ignited a passion in her to share this versatile technique with other therapists. By offering therapists a new tool that can be used as an extension of the body, repetitive stress injuries and fatigue are greatly reduced.
Ivy Jo resides in Durham, North Carolina and is the Authorized Instructor for the Eastern region of the United States. She also travels Internationally to train the staff at resorts in this luxurious technique .

Bamboo Fusion (on the table)
2 CE Contact Hours
Bamboo-FusionTM is an innovative way to provide Swedish or deep tissue full body massage on the table while reducing the stress on your hands. Students will learn a new way to effleurage and petrissage with warmed bamboo tools that are different shapes and sizes. By introducing a new tool, therapists will increase the amount of clients they can apply deep tissue to, give longer sessions without fatigue, and it will also save their thumbs and wrists from repetitive use injuries. The bamboo tool set is easy to clean and sanitize in between clients and is lightweight to carry. Students will learn techniques as well as the history of bamboo, contraindications, and benefits.
