Canadian Businesses and Companies in Myanmar Canadian company law concerns the operation of corporations in Canada. Although each province has its own statutes, primarily for smaller businesses that function only in that province, the Canada Business Corporations Act is the most important legislation, which covers companies that are incorporated under the federal law, which can operate without licences in any province.
Corporations Canada regulates federal incorporations under the CBCA 1985. All of the Canadian provinces also have laws permitting (and governing) the incorporation of provincial corporations. Often, the choice of whether to incorporate federally or provincially will be based on many business considerations, such as scope of business and the desire for application of particular rules which may be available under one corporate statute but not another.
