Residents in the sea-side town of Brindisi Italy gathered Saturday to mourn the death of a 16 year old girl killed in a bomb attack earlier in the day.

The bomb exploded in front of an all girls school as the students, who attend Saturday classes, were entering the building. 10 other people were wounded in the incident.

Officials say the explosion was caused by a rudimentary bomb that was placed inside a trash bin.

In Rome, more solidarity for the victim.

Demonstrators stood in front of the Pantheon holding lit candles and a wreath with the victim's name.

Early reports blamed a local mafia group, but investigators later retracted that assessment. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
