Police in Bangkok make a grizzly discovery in a hotel room... the bodies of six unborn babies, covered in gold leaf, thought to have been used in a black magic ritual.

Police believe this man, a 28 year old British national born in Hong Kong, was trying to smuggle the foetuses to Taiwan.

(SOUNDBITE) (Thai) SUB-DIVISION CHIEF OF POLICE'S CHILDREN AND WOMEN PROTECTION UNIT, POLICE COLONEL WIWAT KUMCHUMNAN, SAYING:

"They [the suspects] use bone [from the foetuses] to produce good luck charms and flesh [from foetuses] to make amulets which they worship and believe to bring good luck and money."

Police say the foetuses were being offered to wealthy clients through a website advertising black magic services.

They were purchased for $6400 but could have fetched six times that amount, police said.
