Bulgaria extends smoking ban to bars, cafes

2012-05-18 1

Bulgaria will ban smoking in all indoor public spaces from June, the first move in an attempt to persuade one of Europe's heaviest smoking nations to kick the habit.
More than 40 percent of adults in the Balkan country are smokers.

Bar owners or managers could face a 5,000 euro fine if they let their customers light up.
