A penguin that escaped from a Tokyo marine park two months ago has turned up alive and well, dispelling rumors he may have perished.

The fugitive penguin, known as 337 as it is too young to determine its sex, has been on the lam since March after scaling a 13ft-high wall and squeezing through a barbed wire fence to escape Tokyo Sea Life park.
Many feared the polluted waters of Tokyo Bay would be too much for the penguin following its dramatic bid for freedom, but experts said the bird appeared to be strong and well fed.
