STORY: Latin heartthrob Ricky Martin graces the cover of People en Espanol's 50 Most Beautiful issue for 2012 along with a parade of the most popular Latina stars of today.
Martin hit the carpet on Tuesday night (May 15) minutes after staring as 'Che' in the Broadway revival of "Evita," and was greeted by screams from adorning fans outside The Plaza Hotel in New York.
A frenzy of flashing lights welcomed Mexican singer and actress Thalia, who set a record with her ninth appearance on the list.
Despite the gloomy weather, a host of other Latino stars brightened up the occasion such as Charytin Goyco, Julian Gil, Lili Estefan, and Sammy Sosa.
Humbled to be representing the Latino community on Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice was Dayana Mendoza, who made the list in 2009.
"This is a huge party, I think. I think, we all enjoy getting together, we all enjoy celebrating our jumps, like our accomplishments and this is something pretty big, because everybody is being recognized for their jumps and for who they really are. So it's a great opportunity," Mendoza.
This year's mix of People en Espanol 50 most beautiful people came from a wide array of personalities in the field of music, film, and television.
