Number 5 - In 2006, RadioShack's CEO David Edmondson resigned after discrepancies were found in his resume. According to USA Today, he had claimed two degrees from Pacific Coast Baptist College in Theology and Psychology. The school did not have such records and they didn't even offer a psychology degree.
Number 4 - Jeff Papows, Lotus Corporation's CEO, resigned after the discovery in 1999 that among other lies, he had misrepresented his military rank and incorrectly claimed that he had earned a PhD from Pepperdine University.
Number 3 - In 2002, the CEO of Bausch & Lomb, Ron Zarrella, revealed he falsified the information about getting an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business. He had only attended night school. Following the announcement, he lost his bonus of over a million dollars but remained the CEO until 2008.
Number 2 - Patrick Imbardelli, InterContinental Group's CEO for Asia-Pacific resigned after it was found that he had only attended some classes at 3 Universities from where he claimed to have received multiple degrees.
Number 1 - James Peterson, Microsemi Corporation's CEO, retained his job but was fined after the discovery that he had claimed 2 degrees from Brigham Young University, even though he had only enrolled in some courses.
