Syrian president forms new government

Since protests have started a month ago, Friday has become the day for demonstrations following Friday noon prayers.

And since then, every Thursday, the government comes out with overtures and announcements to appease the protesters .

This Thursday, a new cabinet was announced, and president Bashar Assad ordered the release of all prisoners, detained in the past few weeks except those implicated in criminal acts.

The President also met with the people of Daraa, in an attempt to calm the situation in this twon turned into a flash point .

Friday will be a test day to the government promise to allow peaceful protests.
