As the United States prepares to shut down Cuba's Guantanamo Bay detention centre, attention is shifting to prisons that will remain open.

In Afghanistan more than 3,000 men are being held at the Policharkhi prison outside Kabul.

The prisoners say conditions are wretched and they're not being given access to fair trials.
