'Once' leads the pack at this year's Tony Awards - with 11 nominations.
Adapted from an indie film, the Broadway musical is about a love affair between an Irish busker and a Czech immigrant, who find themselves sharing a passion for music.
SOUNDBITE: Steve Kazee, actor, saying (English):
"I know that for me it's a very honest and simple story that incorporates music to tell a story about love and I think people are just really responding to it and I try not to question it too much and just keep doing the job and people keep coming hopefully."
Steve Kazee is up for best actor, while Cristin Miloti is in the running for best actress.
She enjoys the audiences reaction to the show's Oscar winning song Falling Slowly:
SOUNDBITE: Cristin Miloti, actor, saying (English):
"I never hear people sing along, but I do hear, when we start the, ding, ding, ding - they're like, 'this is the song.' And that use to freak me out, but now that gets me really excited."
Also keeping up with the competition is "Gershwin's Porgy and Bess".
Seven-time nominee Audra MacDonald is pleased to be recognised:
SOUNDBITE: Audra MacDonald, actress, saying (English):
"There are times we weren't sure we were going to make it to Broadway. So that we made it, and got here, we've been playing every night to wonderful audiences then to be recognized by the Tony nominating committee with ten nominations is just exciting."
Meanwhile flying the flag for London's West End are the stars of "One Man, Two Guvnors."
Starring James Corden the show has been welcomed by American audiences.
The Tony Awards will be handed out in New York City on June 10.
