Singapore's Firebrand of the 50s & 60s! Lim Chin
Siong was a student activist for chinese education
and culture. A Trade Unionist for the workers. An
anti-colonialist. Anti-British. Pro-Singapore
Independence. He was accosted by Lee Kuan Yew
(currently 2012 Minister Mentor of Singapore) to
join him and others to established People's Action Party
(PAP). Youngest ever PAP candidate electorally
elected as Legislative Assembly Person for Bukit
Timah in 1955 at aged 22 yrs old. Meaning that he
was an activist and trade unionist when he was as
young as 18 years old.or even younger. His record
still today. I don't believe it will ever to broken
by any person in Singapore or today or in the near
future.
