A court in Ukraine has adjourned the tax-evasion trial of former Prime Minister Julia Tymoshenko until May 21 due to the ex-prime ministers ill-health.
The opposition leader, already in prison on an abuse-of-office conviction, failed to attend because of chronic back pain.
Tymoshenko alleges that she has been beaten by prison guards and is nine days into a hunger strike in protest.
