Barcelona's plans to outlaw street prostitution met with an angry protest on Friday by about 100 of the city's sex workers.
They say the proposed law will attack their livelihoods, stigmatise and criminalise them even more, and make them more vulnerable and dependent on organised crime.
Prostitution is legal in Spain, so some are claiming the law illegally restricts freedom of trade.
