The city of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan has suffered a second deadly attack, a day after more than 40 people there were killed in a truck bombing.
The Afghan army was deployed to the area to take control of the city.
The measure is being seen as one which shows the level of concern and determination to bring stability to the troubled city.
