Bin Laden's family deported to Saudi Arabia

The scene outside the Islamabad house where Osama Bin Laden's family were being held.

An attorney for the family told Reuters that the al Qaeda leader's three widows and 11 children were being deported to Saudi Arabia.

A white van could be seen pulling up to the compound in the early hours of the morning. The women reportedly refused to leave the house until officials covered the van's windows.

What will be interesting to many in the security community is if the family discusses their years in hiding with the world's most wanted man.

Islamabad has insisted it was not aware of the bin Laden compound in within its borders. Any suggestion that Pakistani forces were complicit in hiding him could deal a serious blow to the country's already strained relations with the U.S.
