A new report has detailed the staggering profits being made by the six nation Gulf Co-operation Council of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

In 2007, they earned $364bn from oil, and that's set to increase in 2008 to almost $650bn.

But who profits from those huge revenues?
