Emotions are running high outside the country's supreme court in the country's capital, and despite heavy security a lawyer armed with spraypaint manages to stage a protest. His target - a controversial state lawyer. The attacker accuses him of making threats on his life - and of serving a president who some say is blackening the face of democracy. Meanwhile several dozen supporters of the MMA - an alliance of religious parties - protested not far from the supreme court- about 15 were arrested. Security forces surround all avenues leading to the supreme court, where a ruling is due on challenges to President Musharraf standing for re-election.
