Forget about the limousine or horse-drawn carriages.

A Chinese bridegroom from East China’s Anhui Province may be setting a different trend for young couples planning to get married.

Last Saturday, a tractor driver from Shilipu village in Fuyang City took his bride home in a tractor, accompanied by a procession of other tractors.

[Liu Fei, Bridegroom]:
"It's to the taste of us young people chasing after fashion to take my bride home by tractors. As a tractor driver, we should not forget our trade. We have to rely on tractors and agricultural undertakings to get rich."

Liu said his fiancée—Zhang Yun—supported the idea when he suggested they use tractors to transport the bride home.

Zhang works at a supermarket—her husband is a tractor driver in the farm machinery cooperative.

On the wedding day, the bride sat next to her husband on the tractor, while the tractor fleet carried their relatives and friends.

Decorated with colorful balloons, red flowers, and ribbons, the tractor fleet caught the attention of many villagers.
