[Chunseong Kim, North Korean Defector]:
"The Chinese communist regime and North Korea have an agreement to repatriate North Korean defectors. Both nations benefit from this contract. North Korean defectors are seeking freedom. They risk torture and death to escape, arrive in China starving, and are then caught by the Chinese government and sent back to North Korea. So that is why I'm here. To stop their deaths."

"The Chinese regime's behavior is like someone pushing a young child into a lion's cave. Kim Jong-un, North Korea's leader, is not only killing defectors, but all of their family members, for three generations. We are opposing Kim Jong-un's dictatorship and are urging the Chinese communist regime to protect the human rights of the North Korean defectors."

"I was going to be executed the next day [in North Korea], in 24 hours. So for 13 hours I filed and broke through the iron bars of the jail window. I escaped from North Korea to Mainland China by swimming through the Yalu River."

"The Chinese Communist regime has to improve human rights as well as their economy and politics. In the future, I believe the best country will no longer be the richest or the most powerful. The country that most considers human rights will be the greatest leader out of all the countries in the world."
