On Wednesday, an Israeli delegation of senior officials, held
negotiations with senior Egyptian officials in Cairo, on the issue of
locating a new embassy building. Israel provided several alternatives,
presumably meeting the Egyptian requirements, which are currently
being studied and reviewed by the Egyptians with the security of the
Israeli staff being the their main consideration. Last week Israel
evacuated the old embassy building that was attacked in September 2011
by an Egyptian mob.
