Video uploaded to a social media website on Tuesday purports to show shells hitting buildings in the Al-Hamediya neighbourhood of Homs.
Syrian government forces have been almost continuously bombarding the battered city in an effort to quell unrest.
But many say the shelling has been largely indiscriminate, targeting civilians and rebels alike.

The Syrian government has accepted a six-point peace plan proposed by UN Special Envoy Kofi Annan, his spokesman said on Tuesday.
But while this may be a small step toward reconciliation, over 8,000 people have already been killed according to the United Nations.
Syrian authorities maintain that "armed groups" have killed 3,000 security personnel.
