Large boulder crushes Ohio home

A boulder rolled down a hillside late on Tuesday, and smashed into an Ohio home.

The residents were home but were not in the part of the house that was crushed.

Two cars were also destroyed by the huge rock.

The boulder was nearly 25 feet in diameter, and also took down a utility pole and damaged an underground water line.

One neighbor describes his experience.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) NICHOLAS CREAY, NEIGHBOR, SAYING:

"It sounded like a storm, like a big thunder peel and then I saw what looked light lightning but it turns out it was the electrical unit snapping, yeah I thought it was a storm."

The home owners as well as some neighbours have been evacuated until engineering teams can determine that it's safe to return.
