Up until now the production of an effective artificial blood vessel proved to be a difficult challenge but scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany claim to have made a significant development in creating one.
In 2009 scientist came together in a project called BioRap with the aim of creating artificial blood vessels and now the first prototypes have been made from a 3D printer.
