Deadly cross-border hostilities continue between Israel and Gaza militants.
Two Palestinian militants were killed and dozens of civilians wounded in the Gaza Strip on Monday in strikes by Israel.
Other reports state a 15-year-old Gazan teen was killed in a separate bombardment.
This is the fourth day of Israeli air strikes on the region in retaliation for rocket launches by militant groups, causing dozens of Palestinian deaths and wounding many more.
Islamic Jihad - an Iranian-backed faction - was responsible for most of the rocket fire.
This official in Kibbutz territory said some of the Palestinian missiles had hit near a nursery school.
So far there is no indication of a ceasefire, however, Egypt may be trying to broker an end to the hostilities.
In the meantime, funeral services have begun for the dead.
Members of Islamic Jihad buried one of their own killed in the early hours of Monday.
The group fired weapons into the air, while women cried for revenge.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) ISLAMIC JIHAD ARMED SPOKESPERSON SAYING:
"We affirm the continuation of the struggle and the resistance as the best and only choice to use in the face of the Zionist aggression even if everyone leaves us and we are left in the field alone."
The renewed violence comes three years after the 2008-2009 Gaza war that resulted in the deaths of 1,400 Palestinians and 13 Israeli soldiers.
