With the 30th anniversary of Argentina's invasion of the Falklands, known in Argentina as Las Islas Malvinas, approaching on April 2, Argentina has been ratcheting up the rhetoric.

The British Government has rejected calls from Argentina for talks on the islands sovereignty, saying that it respects the opinion of the island's residents.

Argentina has also claimed that Britain sent a nuclear submarine to the region.

It has also accused London of provoking matters by sending Prince William to the Falklands on a tour of duty.

Since the Falklands Conflict in 1982, Britain has spent time and effort reinforcing its garrison on the remote outpost, but severe cuts in the UK's defense budget had caused military analysts suggest that a similar campaign would fail.
