French President Nicolas Sarkozy has vowed to cut the number of immigrants and impose a minimum tax on the profits of big listed companies if he's re-elected in April.
The remarks were made as he sought to bolster support for his presidential campaign during a TV grilling from the veteran Socialist Laurent Fabius.
