A surprising connection was formed this week between a Syrian
opposition element named Abdul Khader and IDF Spokesman
Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai on Mordechai's Facebook page. In it,
Khader expressed the desire to modernize Syria and get rid of Assad
and his regime. He also said that Assad's goal is to keep Israel
fearful of the Syrian opposition but that they genuinely wanted Peace.
Mordechai who speaks Arabic replied with hopes of Peace and genuine
thanks for Khader establishing a connection.
