The first Sunday of every month, many sites are free of charge in France. This one is only free from October through March, however. It is on the West side of Paris in Maisons-Lafitte. It is 17th c. and has a very interesting history.

Nearly all of the gardens were taken up by land development in the 19th c. and the fate of the château remained uncertain. There is a famous racetrack nearby.
