Former US astronaut John Glenn has marked the 50th anniversary of becoming the first American to orbit the earth, saying it was the best day of his life.
Glenn, who is now 90 years old, also discussed experiments the current crew of the International Space Station was conducting, marvelling at the strides in technology made since he joined NASA in 1959.
