BALCONYTV DUBLIN 1/04/2009
PRESENTED BY TOM MILLETT
Thanks for visiting my myspace! A little bit about meStarted playing the guitar and other instruments at around 14wrote my first song about 3 years ago. I studied musicianship in Kylemore College in 2004/5 and I have just finished studying for a Diploma in sound engineering in Dun Laoghaire college.
Recorded my first album second hand time at home and released it locally in Portlaoise in 2006. Mr. Moon was playlisted this year, which was featured on the top five hit album Our Space. Another one of my songs Something Keeps Me, which was recorded live in Eamon Dorans last December also featured on Our Space. Around this time, I started collaborating with Audrey Trainor (who is a classically trained violinist and lectures in Dun Laoghaire College), so we are currently rehearsing for some upcoming gigs and recording my second, as of yet untitled album.
Other highlights include the acoustic stylings of James OConnor and his song Mr. Moon, which recalls the melodic, dreamy song writing of Nick Drake John Cleary, The Kilkenny Advertiser, April 2007.
This man is going to be a star Mary Kavanagh, The Leinster Express
A tempting brew of alternative folk rock, with plaintive harmonica playing Jackie Hayden, Hotpress
