STORY: American film director Martin Scorsese told Japanese media on Thursday (February 16) that his latest film "Hugo" was inspired by his little daughter. Scorsese's first 3D movie has been nominated for 11 Oscars, including best picture and best director, and is the filmmaker's first family adventure. The 69-year-old director credits the decision to make "Hugo" to his wife and 12-year-old daughter, and said a child's perception of the world influenced his creation.
