Police in Australia have seized drugs with a street value of over 25 million Australian dollars ($27 million U.S. dollars).

In a New South Wales police statement, it said police have also arrested one person believed to be involved in a major drug distribution network.

The drugs which included 49 kilograms of heroin and 20 kilograms of methylamphetamine were hidden in fruit juice cartons and were seized in a raid on a storage unit in the northern Sydney suburb of Artarmon on Thursday (February 9), along with 300,000 Australian dollars ($321,000 U.S. dollars) in cash.

The bust was a joint operation between the State Crime Command's Organised Crime Targeting Squad and the New South Wales Crime Commission.

Detectives arrested a 43-year-old Australian-Iranain man with dual citizenship as he visited the storage unit. He appeared in court on Friday (February 10).
