Syrian forces continue Homs onslaught

Fires rage in Homs.

Amateur video out of Syria appears to show flames rising from a house.

The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters also shows a refinery on fire.

On Wednesday Syrian forces pushed into Homs killing as many as 100 people according to activists.

Syrian state television is blaming quote "terrorists" of targeting the refinery.

More footage, purportedly from Idlib shows Syrian forces on the street.

The UN says more than 5,00 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began last March.

On Tuesday the Russia said it won a promise from President Bashar al-Assad to end to bloodshed. Now Russia is calling for dialogue

In Idlib a funeral service. The crowds chant death not humiliation.

Syria's State news agency says that funerals were held Tuesday for 30 members if its security forces.

On Wednesday a Turkish newspaper close to the government said Turkey, which has taken a strong stand against former ally Assad, is planning to organize a conference with Arab and Western governments in Istanbul.
