Foreign Minister and Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni on Thursday reiterated her vow not to sell Israel to ultra-Orthodox parties in return for parliamentary support. Livni replaced outgoing Prime Minister Ehud as leader of the Kadima party in September, yet was unable to form a governing coalition and was therefore forced to go to general elections. Livni said she chose to go to elections instead of giving in to the demands of the ultra-Orthodox Shas party. 11/21/08
