Protesters attend Friday prayers in Tahrir

Thousands kneel in prayer in Cairo's Tahrir Square.
Two days after the anniversary of the revolution that overthrew president Hosni Mubarak last year, protesters are demanding the ruling military regime hand over power to civilians.
They're calling it a 'Day of Wrath.'
The Imam of the local mosque questioned whether the revolution had produced any change.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) IMAM OF OMAR MAKRAM MOSQUE, SAYING:
"We demanded the resignation of the regime, but after a year has passed since the revolution I'm asking: did the regime actually resign?"
The military has promised to relinquish power after presidential elections in June.
But some protesters, who complain the army has used the same heavy-handed tactics against opponents as Mubarak did, want the transfer to civilian power speeded up.
