Syria, Turkey and Qatar have agreed to absorb the 40 Palestinian prisoners deported in the framework of the prisoner exchange. Hamas officials Moussa Abu Marzouk and Khaled Masha'al were expected to fly to Cairo on Monday in order to receive the prisoners on their arrival. On Monday Hamas officials refused to release details of the timeframe of the swap saying they feared Israel would try to nab Gilad Shalit before he leaves Gaza. Hamas officials told Israel Radio Shalit's whereabouts was being kept under wraps and he would be taken out of Gaza undetected. Shalit's guards have received instructions to beef up security and to be extra vigilant. The officials said in recent days there has been a noticeable increase in the number of Israeli deployed drones flying over Gaza.
