Ten days after the earthquake and subsequent tsunami hit the East coast of Japan, the first Israeli aid delegation has arrived on the scene. The delegation, which includes doctors and military personnel from the Home Front Command, intend to establish a medical clinic for those in dire need of medical services. The aid team intends to remain in Japan for several months. In related news, it seems that the nuclear crisis in Japan, while still extremely serious, is beginning to show signs of improvement. Yukiya Amano, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said that "There is no doubt that the situation in Japan is still extremely serious, but there is no doubt that Japan will be able to overcome the crisis."
