US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice announced Tuesday that, as opposed to repeated previous Israeli statements, Prime Minister Olmert and PA Chairman Abbas will hold talks on issues of substance prior to the release of corporal Gilad Shalit. In the Jerusalem press conference, Rice outlined a US plan to jumpstart the peace process.
