A six month trial program that will enable municipal authorities to track down the owners of dogs who fail to clear up their pets' mess is currently underway in Petah Tikva. Dog owners are asked to register their pets with their local vets. The aim is to register every dog owner in the city.In the event that owners fail to clean up after the dogs, municipal inspectors will collect samples of the pets' mess and match it against the DNA data base. Culprits who fail to clean up after their pet pooches could face a hefty fine. 09/17/08
