On Saturday, it was announced that the thousands of Palestinian refugees who fled the Gaza Strip after the Hamas' takeover and have since been stuck on the Egyptian side of the Rafah Crossing will be allowed to return to the Strip via another crossing. Hamas maintains that the refugees are being allowed to return to Gaza after security checks at Israeli-controlled crossings only due to PA Chairman Abbas' willingness to extradite wanted Palestinians to Israel, and objects to the refugees returning through any other crossing except for the Hamas-controlled Rafah Crossing. 07/29/07
