Demi Moore is seeking professional help for exhaustion, according to her rep. The actress was rushed to the hospital earlier this week after paramedics were called to her home. Moore filed for divorce from actor Ashton Kutcher in November. Kutcher was in Brazil on a photoshoot at the time of Moore's hospitalization.
On a French TV show, Vanessa Paradis strongly denied rumors that she and Johnny Depp were splitting up. The singer-actress said the rumors could "cause a lot of harm to my family and my children," according to Us Weekly. Previous reports said that Paradis and Depp were living separate lives after 14 years and two children together.
Greek director Theo Angelopoulos died in Athens on Tuesday (January 24). He was 77. The award-winning director died in a hospital hours after he was hit by a motorcycle while he filming a movie. Angelopoulos had won the prestigious best film prize at Cannes for "Eternity and a Day" and the Cannes Grand Jury Prize for "Ulysses' Gaze."
Another death in Hollywood, actor James Farentino died from heart failure in a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday (January 25). He was 73. The Golden Globe winner was known for his TV roles on "Dynasty," "Melrose Place" and "ER."
Finally, Geoffrey Rush has been named Australian Of The Year for his dedication to the arts. Rush was the first Australian-born actor to win an Oscar -- for his role in the 1997 film "Shine." Rush, who also appeared in "The King's Speech," and "Shakespeare in Love," is receiving the honor in part because he achieved the Triple Crown -- winning an Oscar, Tony and Emmy.
